By giving you cover in both private and public hospitals, amongst many more benefits, One Plan 500 combines the practicality of a value-conscious plan with private health insurance cover across many areas.

Your hospital accommodation – what you’re covered for…

• Semi-private accommodation in a wide selection of private hospitals and semi-private and private in public hospitals.

• 2,500 in-patient consultants.

• Medical costs of in-patient diagnosis and tests covered too.

• Private hospital excess - €500.

Your everyday medical expenses – what’s included…

• Annual benefit up to €1,000 per person (excess €250).

• Consultants - €60 per visit.

• Referrals to consultant pathologists - €60 per referral.

• Consultant radiologists, per procedure - €60.

• Vhi Online Doctor - full cover for 6 visits available through the Vhi App.

The excess means that when your eligible benefits have exceeded the value of €250, we will then pay remaining eligible benefits right up to the value of €1,000.

Vhi SwiftCare Clinics – dedicated benefits for Vhi customers

Why wait to be treated for minor injuries and illnesses? Vhi SwiftCare Clinics will aim to treat you within the hour and as a Vhi customer you can avail of the following exclusive benefits:

• Full cover for initial consultation (excess €50).

• Follow-up treatment package after this consultation for x-rays, tests and medical aids - we pay 50% of the total cost and the max. you will pay is €150 per visit.

Newborns, mums and more – what you’re covered for…

• Public hospital benefit of €400

• In-patient maternity consultant fees – agreed charges.

• One-to-One midwife pregnancy support service -  giving new and experienced mums the support they need, over the phone, right throughout their pregnancy

• NurseLine 24/7 - qualified nurses can answer your questions over the phone day and night.

Mental health and well-being – part of your plan…

• In-patient mental health treatment for up to 100 days 

• Cover towards day care psychiatric treatment for approved day care programmes 

• 91 days in-patient treatment for alcoholism, drug or other substance abuse in any five-year period.  

Caring for you and the family – home or away

• Cover of up to €65,000 if any medical emergencies arise. 

• Cover treatment that is not available in Ireland up to €65,000 as long as it’s approved in advance.
