Vhi NurseLine 24/7 is a confidential, 24 hour, 365 days-a-year telephone support service for Vhi Healthcare members. Our qualified nurses based in Ireland can answer your questions and concerns on a wide range of medical issues including...
- A sick child
- Aches and pains that you're concerned about
- General health information
- Sexual health advice
- Information on support groups, local GPs and pharmacies.
- Holiday health advice, sun-care, insect bites, allergies, stomach upsets and dealing with illnesses abroad.
You will need to have your policy number to hand and you may be asked some questions for security purposes.

Our Nurses/Midwives provide general midwifery, triage and medical information. It is not a diagnostic or emergency service and it in no way replaces your GP or Consultant. If you require urgent care or a diagnostic treatment please dial 999 or speak to your GP.
NurseLine 24/7 Service - Terms & Conditions
Vhi NurseLine 24/7 is operated by Collinson Insurance Services Limited on behalf of Vhi Insurance DAC. It is staffed by a team of fully qualified nurses based in Ireland. On very rare occasions calls may be transferred to Collinson Insurance Services Limited in the UK.
The information provided is based on the nurses' own experience and the use of up-to-date computer-based protocol systems. Information provided by this service is based purely on the information submitted by the requester.
Please note that this is not a diagnostic service and should not be used as an emergency service or as an alternative to seeking the professional advice of your doctor or other healthcare professional. If you require urgent care call 999 or 112.
Vhi NurseLine 24/7 Telephone Service
Telephone assessment / Medical advice and information on specific medical issues are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by telephoning Vhi NurseLine 24/7. The team can provide access to validated general information on the following:
- Medical conditions, their causes (where known), symptoms, effects, coping with the symptoms and living with the condition
- Details of healthcare providers and support groups
- Details of local pharmacies and other services
- Information on medications and their interactions
"Email your Query" Service
This e-mail facility provides general information only on medical conditions, their causes (where known), symptoms, effects, coping with the symptoms and living with the condition.
Enquiries sent between 9am and 8pm will be responded to within 24 hours of the request being received. Information provided will be general in nature and validated by accredited sources. If there is uncertainty as to what information is required, telephone contact may be necessary.
