Access
Access to MyVhi is provided on the understanding that it allows currently registered members view or administer their health insurance cover from Vhi. Policyholders act for all members included on the policy with regard to the administration of the policy (e.g. cover changes, payments/refunds, renewals, and addition/deletion of dependants. Use for any other purpose is prohibited. Vhi will endeavour to provide access to the system at the agreed times, but no warranty is given. Vhi may terminate access to MyVhi at its own discretion.
Data
The member undertakes that, to the best of their knowledge and belief, any information provided in MyVhi is true and complete. Inappropriate use of MyVhi will result in access being revoked by Vhi. Please see Vhi’s Data Protection Statement, which contains details of the personal data we collect in relation to our customers, how we use that personal data, and your rights under data protection law. Security/Authentication
Vhi will provide the member with a username and password, which they must provide on request on each occasion they access MyVhi.
Login Details
Members must keep their login details secret and must not record them in a form or manner which would be intelligible or otherwise accessible to an unauthorised person. Members must notify Vhi immediately, should they either suspect or become aware that their login details have become known or available to an unauthorised person.
Acting on Instructions
The member authorises Vhi to act upon all instructions received in respect of the policy (in accordance with the policy terms and conditions) once accompanied by the appropriate login details, which have been or appear to Vhi to have been issued by the member, without taking any further steps to authenticate such instructions. Vhi will accept instructions from policyholders 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. Instructions will be effected as soon as is reasonably possible.
Documentation
The member’s communication preference is confirmed once they agree to receive documentation online. All future policy documentation and claims statements will only be made available to the customer online. Any policy changes or claims that are in progress at the time of the customer changing their documentation preferences will continue to be progressed via the existing correspondence route.
Versioning
We will send you email/SMS alerts informing you of new documents which can be viewed within MyVhi. The information contained in these documents is accurate at the time they were sent to you. Subsequent updates to your policy documentation will be included in the current versions which can be viewed in the Manage my Policy and claims sections.
