Maternity Benefits
  • Full cover for up to 3 days private accommodation in a public hospital or an allowance of €2,275 for up to 3 days accommodation in a private maternity hospital.
  • Up to €2,275 towards the medical expanese incurred for a home birth.
  • Your newborn baby is covered free until your next renewal date.
  • If your child is in hospital for more than 3 days, you may claim an allowance of up to €40 per day to help with your travel or accommodation costs, for up to 14 days in a calendar year.

  • Child rates apply to children under 18 years of age. Student rate, where applicable, applies to any dependent over 18 and under 21, in full time education.
  • All amounts displayed are net of tax relief, which has been deducted at source.
  • Vhi Healthcare members do not pay surcharges on any instalment payments. The price remains the same whether you pay monthly or yearly.
