The €75 excess does not apply to treatment received in public hospitals, maternity claims or courses of cancer treatment. Maternity Benefits
  • Full cover for up to 3 days private accommodation in a public hospital or an allowance of €3,150 for up to 3 days accommodation in a private maternity hospital.
  • Up to €3,150 towards the medical expenses incurred for a home birth.
  • Your newborn baby is covered free until your next renewal date.
  • If your child is in hospital for more than 3 days, you may claim an allowance of up to €40 per day to help with your travel or accommodation costs, for up to 14 days in a calendar year.
