Composing a CV
The objectives of your CV are to:
- Highlight aspects of your education, which would be most suited to this job
- Impress the employer, making you the most suitable candidate
Guidelines for writing your CV:
- Keep it to two pages, giving a brief but full account of your achievements.
- Give details of your Leaving Cert/degree highlighting grades.
- Be honest and truthful and ensure there are no gaps in it.
- Highlight your achievements to date.
- A covering letter should accompany your CV.
- Use a word processor and good quality A4 paper.
- Highlight the important headings in "Bold".
- Proof read carefully and remember to do a spellcheck!!
- In relation to hobbies ensure that they are current and you can expand on them fully.
